Jes - I agree with Pyatt; despite the Carter references, it's two different stories and I think he'll stay. Bulis would have to jump on the paycut and something tells me he won't. But I do like his play over the latter half of the year, especially on the PK.

I've never been a fan of Sopel. It's possible that's misplaced, but I'd hand his slot over to any of the prospects and save the money.

That said, let's just call it the Bulis rule: if you can accept less money for the honor of having Luongo bail you out, welcome to Vancouver.

I think Sopel could come back if he's willing to take a pay cut. I don't know if GM's out there are willing to give the guy another large contract...and Sopel likes it here.

If Pyatt and Bulis want to come back at reasonable rates, I'd like to see them here. Pyatt did well and could develop even further. Bulis, while frustrating, played hard and was a good PK. It's guys like Josh Green and Burrows that provide little value beyond their PK.

Yeah, someone with size parked in front of net (like Pyatt probably) would be great. Just glancing through the list...Walker I'd love to have back here...Fedotenko, Handzus, Walz (even though I hate him). If Nonis gambles on a project, then Mike York I'm sure is cheap....

Well, there are certainly some openings for right wingers who know how to bury the puck, and he'd be an interesting fit on either the first or second line, but I agree, he's probably not the best guy to go after.

I think that they really need to do their best to find someone that will work well with Naslund. I know that's much easier said than done, but maybe they can look at some of his former team sweden linemates or something.

After that I would like to see someone that knows where the front of the net is....

Sure...although I can't imagine Burke's going to let him skate off so easily. Maybe I'm wrong though. But if they're going to move people and land a name, is Selanne the best target?
