I salute you Michael. Please keep Stuart while you’re at it too.
No sweat, let’s mock us first. I pray this is a rumor because this team has far more pressing needs then drafting a hometown kid for the shits and giggles of it. Also, need I even bring up that our draft history is deplorable? And losing Kesler makes no sense in this equation. None. Don’t make me start drinking like it’s the Vancouver/Anaheim series again…

I agree with the Aucoin commentary, although it’d be GM Sutter who will look ridiculous rather than Keenan. In fact, I don’t think that it’s really possible for Keenan to look worse after his recent history — the truth is that Sutter’s just shooting his good reputation in the foot, the way this year is shaping up for the Flames!
As for Vancouver moving up in the draft, the absolute truth is that losing Kesler for a draft pick now would be the biggest waste ever. He finally played most of a season last year and proved to be a solid defensive forward, and his potential for scoring is pretty highly touted too. Keep the 25th pick, Canucks… losing out for nothing would be ridiculous!

Kesler has been rumored to be moved if Nonis wants to move up…naturally now I can’t find a reference to it other then here. No worries, I doubt it’ll happen…Kesler is too big to the future of this team in the short term to piss away on moving up.
