Oh, I thought you were northern jersey peeps…my bad. I’ll go for you at some point and take pictures…that is, you know, if the roving packs of hooligans don’t take my wallet and all. And there better be scalpers there…I made it a policy to never pay full price at Continental unless family was involved

Pookie and I haven’t been up to the new building, so we can’t vouch for the scalpers there. It’s actually quite a production for us to get up there from where we live, even with the train (which is, admittedly, a very awesome thing about the new arena), so we’re kind of hesitant to spend the time and money just getting there without already having tickets in hand. What can I say? We’re total chickens!

…and that is why I go with scalpers! I haven’t been to the Rock yet, but at Continental, I always used the guys who hung out at the tunnel for people coming over Giants stadium. It sounds a little pathetic that they prices (after that whole lockout thing AND a new stadium) are retardedly high…have you been there yet and tried the scalpers by chance?

Thanks for bring that Guardian article to my attention! I’ve never been one to blame ticket prices, since I’ve always been lucky enough to spend whatever I wanted on tickets, but they’ve finally gotten ridiculous enough that I can’t ignore it any longer. I wish I knew what the answer was. Or rather, I wish I knew an answer that the NHL would agree with. To me it seems pretty obvious that having ten people who are interested in the product buying $10 tickets is better than getting one person who doesn’t care to spend $100. But I’m pretty naive, so I should probably quit talking now!
