Use Focus Daniel-san

So..yeah…there’s some sort of All Star Game, Skills competition, Young All Stars, and a lonely Hank Sedin attempting to entertain Atlanta this weekend (those who aren’t consumed by the poultry show that is….g/t Kukla). Just wait until the weekend is over and the MSM has a field day that hockey has now lost ground to dead birds.

The Atlanta zip codes aside, I am sure we of the hockey blogging ilk can rise above and support that which matters the most and we wouldn’t dare be distracted for one second by anything else on this…now would we?

  1. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Sedins separated…ever.

  2. He looks lonely doesn’t he? And I’m certainly not jazzed seeing him assist on a Niedermayer goal. **shudder **

  3. It just doesn’t look natural.
I’m still a little annoyed that they just added Niedermeyer on when he’s only played like 15 games this year.

  4. Scotty getting on there is retarded, but then again, the entire All Star format is retarded. I can’t believe Bettman had the balls to say most fans don’t want to see home and away games with every team in the league. I question their focus groups immediately.

  5. I have to agree with you. As much as I love watching you Canucks along with all the other NW teams, I wouldn’t mind seeing Sid and Ovie more than every 2 years or so
(btw, Mike, I’ll link you on my blog if you link me…?)

  6. No sweat, you’re all set. You may be the only Wild blog I’m linking too actually…you can’t hold it against me when I bash your team either :)

  7. Yeah I’m pretty sure you’re the only Canucks blog on my site…
Don’t worry, I will probably be doing plenty of bashing against your team too ;)
Besides Willie Mitchell of course, who is my favorite player in the universe (we once had a 3 sentence conversation while he was walking to the bench, it was quite exciting).

  8. That’s three more sentences than I’ve ever had with him! Or any Canuck for that matter….no fair.

  9. That was probably the highlight of my week when that happened. I read somewhere (The Hockey News, I think) that Mitchell was probably going to be the next Canucks captain after Naslund…

  10. it’s definitely possible. unless linden sticks around for another year, but who knows…

  11. he was captain for a couple months when he was still with Minnesota (we have the rotating captaincy). he was a good captain. how old is Naslund anyway?

  12. :B I loved when he and Joe started doing the Sedin cycle. hehe.

Then I wanted to smack the coaches for putting 2 playmakesr on the ice.. XD maybe they were hoping on of those 2 will take the initiative to shoot…

  13. Elise – I think, without looking, Nazzy is 34 or 35. Not too old…if you use Chelios years as a measuring stick.

Rinslet – Which two?! Henrik and Scotty or Henrik and Gaborik? Frankly it was still weird seeing him without Daniel.

  14. I’m not sure Chelios is a good measuring stick…the man is a machine. (you will be glad to know I gave the canucks a full paragraph of positivity today. well more like willie, but that still counts as canucks haha)

  15. I trust you made nice comments about spinal healing.

  16. That I did. And the somehow turned into a rant about how I became attached to Willie in the first place haha

  17. It’s best not to root for a Canucks defenseman these days….cracked spinal discs, nearly severed legs…if I was Ohlund, I’d watch my ass for getting an errant ice shard to the throat.

  18. Yeah…we are supposed to be “minnesota nice” but that seems to not be the case for most canucks, esp. ohlund now. my my this is quite the long comment thread

  19. lol :P Henrik and Thornton. XD Both can’t shoot. XD;;;

Talk back and make it dirty
