Oh I didn't forget Bure, I just stopped in 2001 because staring at the Vancouver drafting prowess over the years is almost blinding.

Well, he wasn't thrown out of a town is more of what I was gunning at. I'm fairly certain Nonis wanted him back after the lockout....regardless, his 20 point high IS a success for this team.

So here's hoping Ilya Kablukov (2007), Sergei Shirokov (2006), Sergei Topol (2003), Ilya Krikunov (2002), Denis Grot (2002), Kirill Koltsov (2002), Konstantin Mikhailov (2001) and Evgeny Gladskikh (2001) are going to have their coming out years in 2008!

Draft a Swede...you can't go wrong. Every Canadian kid the 'Nucks have drafted have ended up stinking...the Swede's on the other hand...

Tre Kroner forever. Uhhh...errr...well, at least don't draft a Roooskie...they'll never see the light of day.

Yeah, it seems like this draft just can't be screwed up. But if any team can manage it...

It's funny, I thought this year's draft wasn't that deep but it seems decent even around the 10 spot. Unless they throw another Patrick White curveball when they stroll to the mic again...

Holy shit. That really is a very sad previous draft list. I like a lot of those picks you mentioned.
