		<description>just because Filppula has elected for arbitration doesn&#039;t mean he&#039;s off the market. the Red Wings are close to the cap and may not be able to absorb his salary (should the arbitrator rule in Fillupa&#039;s favour) and would be forced to trade him or decline his services which would make him a free agent. Next year they have to sign Zetterberg (that&#039;s why Hossa got a one year deal) and Holland might want to have some cap room at the end of the year should a goalie become available as their goaltenders don&#039;t scare anyone. beyond those reasons arbitration is such a toxic way to sign a player that even if you do win the arbitration (for one year mind you)you offend the player to the point he wants out.</description>
