Same for me...Stranded out here in southern China without a sniff of hockey on TV I was desperate to get some Canuck news and Alanah's site was the first one I came across with intelligent and irreverent humor towards the team. I'd done the bulletin boards and would just walk away confused and angry...

Alanah and I agree on Viggy...and Mike and I agree on Wellwood, Naslund and Linden. A good crowd to hang with.

Thanks for the interview, Mike. Much fun.

And I look forward to you changing your mind about Kyle Wellwood this season. You're too hard on the guy! :)

Vancouver media is so damn negative. Mike Gillis is a breath of fresh air. He is unconventional, something Vancouver needs. With his new way of evaluating players, his hirings of a capologist in Lawrence Gillman, Ryan Walter an Assistant Coach who can motivate players and show them different ways to create offensive chances ala Montreal, DEMOTING SMYL, hiring Dave Gagner, hiring John Phelan as the Sports Psychologist, getting Kyle Wellwood to lose weight and care, signing QUALITY depth players who make a difference( Brad Isbister and Byron Ritchie???), giving young players a chance to actually make the team while freeing up cap space to acquire a big name player during the season, and now studying how the team travels and sleeps! I can go on forever with how this team is in better shape then under the old regime. How could you not like everything this guy does. Screw No Nuts this guy knows what he is doing, he has a PLAN!!!
