Seriously though, I didn't think the guy had it in him. I watched him play for the Winterhawks here a few years back and would have never expected him to go with Cooke. Obviously I hope that the news is good re:Luongo, but maybe a Sanford/Schneider tag team saves the day? Time will tell. I gotta say I really struggle with Cooke. His work on behalf of the team in the community was inspiring, and an example for others in the NHL to follow. But all my good Matt Cooke memories are tainted with memories of bad, untimely penalties and borderline legal hits. I can't help but think this was exactly what he wanted to do, but it just blew up in his face with the game misconduct. But what do I know... I may be the only sober Canucks fan in BC at the moment.
