Kent - It was interesting to hear some of Cooke's quotes before the game that seemed to indicate he's still furious with the team. Management of course. Vigneault specifically. Thankfully we won't have to play the Pens too much to see how pissed he gets.

Hosewater - You're right, you gotta give Hansen a lot of love again for coming to Edler's defense. It's similar to the opening game against Calgary when he dropped the gloves with Langkow when he took a shot at Luongo. I love seeing how he plays on this team right now.

Along with Luongo going down, another point deserves mention and that is that Jannik Hansen's prospects for the Lady Byng were flushed down the tubes tonight too. Seriously though, I didn't think the guy had it in him. I watched him play for the Winterhawks here a few years back and would have never expected him to go with Cooke.

I am glad I was alone at work when listening to this game (never good for your co-workers to see you sobbing hysterically...), but another gritty win by this team, surprising even us glass half-full types. Obviously I hope that the news is good re:Luongo, but maybe a Sanford/Schneider tag team saves the day? Time will tell. I gotta say I really struggle with Cooke. His work on behalf of the team in the community was inspiring, and an example for others in the NHL to follow. But all my good Matt Cooke memories are tainted with memories of bad, untimely penalties and borderline legal hits. I can't help but think this was exactly what he wanted to do, but it just blew up in his face with the game misconduct. But what do I know... I may be the only sober Canucks fan in BC at the moment.

I really hope the travel hasn't caught up with them but Luongo is well rested (for him anyway). And truthfully how do you really hate the Pens? I can't really find a reason.

Burrows V Cooke: who be the bigger ass? Should be fun to watch!
