I see your point though, they are very similar. And, since they've already announced that there won't be a suspension, I guess the league agrees with you. I err on the other side I suppose; seemed borderline to begin with. Dumont being day to day is less alarming them being knocked out to the IR. But I think Burrows' hit has everything to do with leaving his feet and the hit being too close for comfort to Dumont's head. With a borderline hit, it's a tough call (to suspend or not). But it begs the same old question that is always asked with these sort of hits: had Burrows decked Dumont and given him a concussion or knocked him out of the season, would that have warranted a suspension? Burrows' hit wasn't even clean contact.
