JBomb - If things continue like this, they should friggin move him and whoever else by March 4th. And pray to god Luongo will still sign with the team next year instead of leaving because that'll be a new level of hell awaiting us in 2010-11.

Oh the pain and the agony. Any other team signs Sundin and you know he would have been lights out, but not on the Canucks. We get off to a great start and we have the best goalie in the world, but he gets injured and comes back looking like Troy Gamble incarnate, what's next? Miss the playoffs and get a high draft pick who is a promising prospect only to see him keel over and die? Oh wait. That already happened. It always happens with this team. Being a Canucks fan is like choosing to be kicked in the balls.

So the over is 5 more losses? You're a generous guy. I'm not sure how I'll be able to type another post through the blinding fury of another loss tonight!

And we don't need Mitchell healthy. We have Sundin remember? That's all that counts.

(but seriously, let us think positive healthy groin thoughts for Willie).

Ok, scratch that last bit of gloom from my comment. I don't know where I got that bit about Mitchell. Perhaps that fragile psyche I mentioned was inventing problems to help lower expectations further.

No need for live chickens unless they lose half (or worse) of their next 10 games. And I'm usually expecting the worst with this team, as a way to protect my fragile psyche from constant damage, but somehow it just feels like they're better than everyone thinks.

Although apparently Mitchell is injured now too. I think they've suffered without Salo, and taking both of them out means Luongo will have to be superhuman. Sigh.

So....no live chicken donations Jeremy?!

I would love to pessimistic but I learned sometime ago when I do that they let me down. And even ignoring the past I look at the team that has seemed almost disinterested in the past ten games and it's so deflating. Maybe that was aberration, we'll see. I think more people are in your camp than mine, at least online. I can't speak for how restless the natives are.

I'm not feeling as pessimistic as I was before the season started. When they were winning before Christmas, they were exceeding expectations by a mile, and probably winning some games they should have lost. That had to even out eventually, and I don't think they've been quite as bad lately as their recent record would indicate. Everyone knew it would take a while for Luongo to get back into form, and for Sundin to get rolling...yet the panic had fully set in for media and fans before the ASG.

I'm thinking they are going to start hitting their stride in the next week or two, and end up winning twice as many games as they lose down the stretch. I know that seems overly optimistic, especially when we remember how low our expectations were in September...but on average, I've liked the potential I've seen and I think they can put it all together.
