January 12: Four lost points this weekend and each game was lost with his holiness in the box. Yeah, seriously, let’s move on. And as we debate if we can get keep Sanford’s mask should he be traded, let’s go ahead and liveblog the VAN/NJ game.

January 10 – Wow. A simply stunning home debut for the chrome krona. And the team coughs up two easy points with San Jose, of all teams, waiting for them tonight. Wake me when this weekend is over.

January 9 – So our injured goalie is an All-Star? Well done National Hockey League. I applaud your analytical thinking and fine tuned rational hockey sense to name a guy who hasn’t played in 20 plus games to your stupid PR event. Sundin gets to hear cheers instead of boos tonight when the Blues come to town. Get ready for the O’Brien/Backes fight immediately when the puck drops.

January 7 – This Sundin saga is now 191 days young. Barring any Sami Salo-esque injury or Stortini taking him out in warm-ups, his holiness will suit up on the road tonight in Edmonton.

I say we pray before we liveblog every single second of it.

January 5 – Another good Labarbera start ends in another shootout loss for Vancouver, now 1-5 on the year when they can’t commit to winning in a 65 minute stretch.And Schneider is on his way back to Manitoba too.

December 31: Up next in the carousel of goalies marking their own graves: Antonio Jason Labarbera, come on down! If you liked being left to hang yourself by your own skate laces down in the pits of LA, you may enjoy your trip north where your new team hasn’t quite figured out how to play in front of either goalie you’ll be looking to replace while the team captain sits with his wounded groin (and pride).

December 30 – Look everyone! Santa shipped the chrome krona over just a bit late this holiday season. You can see here that he’s checking his cell phone to see if Glen Sather called. Alas Mats, you’re up shit creek now. And his baldness will get a first hand view of what life is as a Canuck when he views the Vancouver/Philadelphia game this evening. So let’s liveblog the hell out of it!

December 28: Our fair team can’t buy a win these days. So what better way to cure those ills then welcoming the incredibly sucky Ottawa Senators into town? We have to win this game. We just have to.

December 22 – Sure the picture is old, but you have to appreciate Giguere failing, Pronger not helping and an old man in front causing havoc. Just replace Smoke with (ugh) Sundin in a few weeks and you have your second half of the season! Liveblog goodness forthcoming.

December 18 – Six months later and 13 million dollars less, the new bald savior has decided retirement sounds boring and a short vacation to Vancouver sounds just about right. Christ. Talk about sloppy seconds!
