December 17 – I hope everyone is near a TV tonight because the Canucks retire jerseys about once every thousand years. For one last time, let’s tap the sticks for #16, Captain Canuck, Trevor Linden. Now and always a tall glass of awesome.

December 16 – It’s only fitting that in the same week where we’ll honor a Canuck for life by sending his number to the rafters in GM Place, we are left to still debate the merits of another guy who (if you ask me) doesn’t have a right to play on the home team in the same arena. Enough is enough, time to go away Mats.

December 14 – Arrested Development anyone? The Canucks need a swift kick in the ass and I guess I’m the one who’s going to have to do it. Albeit metaphorically. In an officially sanctioned liveblog too.

December 10 – Down in Nashvegas last night, Sanford stood tall and the Canucks won a hard fought 3-1 contest to jump over Calgary for the NW lead. But while Davison and Kesler will escape the long arm of Campbellian justice, will Alex Burrows for his hit on J.P. Dumont?

December 9 – Did you know you can donate $100 to charity and get to watch pregame warmups at Nashville home games from the penalty box? Here’s an idea: let’s just put O’Brien in there now so at least we did something charitable this holiday season.

December 8 – Over the weekend Vancouver used their time to end one losing streak and start potentially another. So it’s a festivus miracle that Luongo is rumored to be back by the weekend.

December 7 – Michael Bay is back to help the good name of hockey. C’mon if Tampa can embrace Saw, then certainly there’s room in our world for Jason Voorhees (as long as he doesn’t say ’sloppy seconds’).

December 3 – I’m bored with losing streaks, so I’ll do what so many others before me have done when they got bored with the basic cable version of reality: make crap up! So who would make a better Canuck – Prucha or Havlat?

December 2: The 2008 Comedy of Errors Tour continues with a third straight loss, this time to a team who has never made the playoffs, ranks dead last on the power play and deployed a rookie goaltender.
