January 12: Four lost points this weekend and each game was lost with his holiness in the box. Yeah, seriously, let’s move on. And as we debate if we can get keep Sanford’s mask should he be traded, let’s go ahead and liveblog the VAN/NJ game.

December 31: Up next in the carousel of goalies marking their own graves: Antonio Jason Labarbera, come on down! If you liked being left to hang yourself by your own skate laces down in the pits of LA, you may enjoy your trip north where your new team hasn’t quite figured out how to play in front of either goalie you’ll be looking to replace while the team captain sits with his wounded groin (and pride).

December 3 – I’m bored with losing streaks, so I’ll do what so many others before me have done when they got bored with the basic cable version of reality: make crap up! So who would make a better Canuck – Prucha or Havlat?

September 24 – Vancouver has wasted little time in reminding fans that they will be in plenty of one goal games no matter who they ice. On the plus side, the kids are still popping in goals, Luongo is back to his stingy self and no groin pulls yet for Demitra or Salo. Dream a little dream…

September 17 – Prospects camp ends with a 5-2 win over the Oiler prospects. Hodgson and Schneider each had a fantastic game. Veterans roll into town on Friday and training camp starts this weekend. A mere 48 hours separates you from the return of Vancouver hockey. Feels good, don’t it?

September 2 – The only Canuck with a Stanley Cup on his resume is no more. Sorry Shannon, move along now and give our best to Ruutu. Now let’s all meet Lawrence Nycholat. The good news is there isn’t much to remember.

August 13 – Mike Gillis has named Darryl Williams as the new assistant coach today, slotted to help with post-game video analysis and conditioning as well as work closely with Alain Vigneault, Rick Bowness Ryan Walter behind the bench.

This summer wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t anger – amongst other people – the Russians. But who cares, the AHL MVP is ours (well, maybe). Let’s err on the side of caution and take a look at our new plucky center.
