November 7 – A first place showdown with the hated Wild looms on the horizon tomorrow. Let me get the hateball rolling: Nordy, the hideously stupid Wild mascot, appears to have a broken left leg. An odd choice considering Ohlund’s fibula cracking whack on Mikko Koivu last year.

November 3 – More Central goodness comes our way in the Thrashers tomorrow night. In the meantime, some questions: will Ouellet make it through waivers and don the Orca (hell to the yes!). Is Wellwood really for real? Will this team ever have a good first period again?

October 31 – The boys take the slow train to Anaheim tonight for a mini reunion of sorts. How will the Canucks respond on little rest? And will Mike Gillis man hug Dave Nonis?

October 30: Gameday with the LA Kings, a team who has sucked since man first stood upright yet sits only a point behind Vancouver in the standings. Worse yet, both teams are only two points back from that precious slot in the cellar of the conference where all good dreams go to die.

October 28 – Color me curious: which Vancouver Canucks team is going to show up tonight? The one from Saturday which started strong and overcame a shaky second with their special teams play or the one from a week ago that couldn’t muster a solid 60 to ice either Chicago or Columbus?

October 27: Ugh. So with almost no other options, and in keeping with the weekly edition of pillaging Manitoba, can we try Ouellet now?

October 23 – The Canucks are offering up a riddle for Saturday’s game. What you win is anyone’s guess. The keys to a new car? The elixir for immortality? An ex who is cool with you dating her younger, hotter sister? Who knows?! Contests are fun.

October 21 – What a difference a week makes. Nothing is going right for the team and proof of that is Kyle Wellwood is now suddenly relevant.

Avert your eyes folks, this is going to be some kind of ugly this week.

October 19: …and not just because they housed Raffi Torres for all those years either. Plus the Canucks will need a win today to break even on their first road trip. Once again, the challenge isn’t easy but some rest and the return of Bieksa should help.

October 16, 2008 – After getting their proverbial asses handed to them all over the ice on Monday, the Canucks look to have a far better outing tonight. Unfortunately the other guys on the ice happen to be the Stanley Cup champs. It’ll be a massive test for the Gillis machine.
