January 31 – Well thank God this month is over huh? You think they can turn this skid around tonight? And if they don’t shouldn’t we just own up to being the worst team in the league? At least we’d have an identity.

January 20 – I’ve spent a week kicking this team around but tonight I’ll play a different tune: they just have to win. We can’t let another San Jose reclamation project start well on our watch. We just can’t.

December 30 – Look everyone! Santa shipped the chrome krona over just a bit late this holiday season. You can see here that he’s checking his cell phone to see if Glen Sather called. Alas Mats, you’re up shit creek now. And his baldness will get a first hand view of what life is as a Canuck when he views the Vancouver/Philadelphia game this evening. So let’s liveblog the hell out of it!

December 28: Our fair team can’t buy a win these days. So what better way to cure those ills then welcoming the incredibly sucky Ottawa Senators into town? We have to win this game. We just have to.

December 17 – I hope everyone is near a TV tonight because the Canucks retire jerseys about once every thousand years. For one last time, let’s tap the sticks for #16, Captain Canuck, Trevor Linden. Now and always a tall glass of awesome.

December 9 – Did you know you can donate $100 to charity and get to watch pregame warmups at Nashville home games from the penalty box? Here’s an idea: let’s just put O’Brien in there now so at least we did something charitable this holiday season.

December 4: A few of us bloggy types – Miss 604, Thomas Lupton and Humming Giraffe – are going to do our best not to curse, cry or light car fires while livebloging on canucks.com tonight for your enjoyment.

December 2: The 2008 Comedy of Errors Tour continues with a third straight loss, this time to a team who has never made the playoffs, ranks dead last on the power play and deployed a rookie goaltender. And now our team suddenly has exactly one healthy goalie. The upshot? YOU (yes you) could be the next goaltender if Schneider goes down.

December 1 – Nothing ruins a well-earned and well-rested vacation like seeing your team lose to Calgary twice in a row. Several curse words come to mind. But is it the end of the world? Of course not. Well, not yet anyway.

November 27: Vacation west coast style has included (1) informing SF folks that there is indeed a hockey team near them and (2) going to see that very team play. A great game but likely no where near as much ’spirit’ as Burrows and the rest of the Canucks will bring tonight against Calgary.
