The Curtis and Cory Show
Nov 24th, 2008 | By Mike | Category: News, PreviewsNovember 24 – Your new netminders are set: a mohawky Sanford and “I just graduated third grade”-looking Schneider. A motley crew indeed…so are the Canucks screwed or what?
November 24 – Your new netminders are set: a mohawky Sanford and “I just graduated third grade”-looking Schneider. A motley crew indeed…so are the Canucks screwed or what?
November 22 – Humiliate Naslund’s Rangers? Check. Let Demitra pick apart his old team? Check. Bang heads with our former favorite pest Matt Cooke? Cooke was chucked out in 30 seconds. The bigger news is Luongo is out and it’s officially the Curtis Sanford show.
November 19 – It’s cool, we’ve all moved on. Some day we’ll all be friends again, but today it’s time to show you why this team is better off without you Nazzy.
November 17 – Taking in the Demitra & Wellwood show in livebloggy format in a bit. And while I suspect they’ll win tonight opps!, it’s Wednesday I am staring at intently. But first thing’s first: a dance with Garth Snow, the best back-up goalie ever.
November 15: The big news for gamenight tonight is that the team that has already retired us and given us a gold star now gives us another object of consumerist love to sink our rapidly depreciating currencies into: third jerseys!
November 12 Update: Sakic is out and the Dane is back. You know what’s almost better than playing 201:08 minutes of perfect hockey for the captain? Three days rest and a date with the hated Avs on the horizon.
November 7 – A first place showdown with the hated Wild looms on the horizon tomorrow. Let me get the hateball rolling: Nordy, the hideously stupid Wild mascot, appears to have a broken left leg. An odd choice considering Ohlund’s fibula cracking whack on Mikko Koivu last year.
November 3 – More Central goodness comes our way in the Thrashers tomorrow night. In the meantime, some questions: will Ouellet make it through waivers and don the Orca (hell to the yes!). Is Wellwood really for real? Will this team ever have a good first period again?
October 31 – The boys take the slow train to Anaheim tonight for a mini reunion of sorts. How will the Canucks respond on little rest? And will Mike Gillis man hug Dave Nonis?
October 30: Gameday with the LA Kings, a team who has sucked since man first stood upright yet sits only a point behind Vancouver in the standings. Worse yet, both teams are only two points back from that precious slot in the cellar of the conference where all good dreams go to die.
