February 1 – Roughly four weeks until the trade deadline. Roughly eight weeks until the end of the season.

And the Canucks have lost nine at home and are two more losses away from tying their franchise record for consecutive defeats.

And some would call last night progress. Would you?

January 28 – Can Vancouver break it and stay relevant in the playoff hunt? Or should we start discussing what kind of kitchen linoleum feels the best on your face as you pass out, blind stinking drunk, in a fit of rage at another loss? Your guess is as good as mine…but let’s liveblog it anyway.

January 20 – I’ve spent a week kicking this team around but tonight I’ll play a different tune: they just have to win. We can’t let another San Jose reclamation project start well on our watch. We just can’t.

January 16: No more excuses. No more games like last night (or like against the Devils or the Sharks or the Caps). No more. It’s nothing personal Alain. It’s just time. Pull the trigger Mike.

January 14: I think we can agree that the Canucks have been painfully average. Luongo returning should help that, but what if it doesn’t? How do you fix that before this season is officially lost? Forget adding new players, here’s a novel idea: axe the coach.

January 12: Four lost points this weekend and each game was lost with his holiness in the box. Yeah, seriously, let’s move on. And as we debate if we can get keep Sanford’s mask should he be traded, let’s go ahead and liveblog the VAN/NJ game.

January 7 – This Sundin saga is now 191 days young. Barring any Sami Salo-esque injury or Stortini taking him out in warm-ups, his holiness will suit up on the road tonight in Edmonton.

I say we pray before we liveblog every single second of it.

December 30 – Look everyone! Santa shipped the chrome krona over just a bit late this holiday season. You can see here that he’s checking his cell phone to see if Glen Sather called. Alas Mats, you’re up shit creek now. And his baldness will get a first hand view of what life is as a Canuck when he views the Vancouver/Philadelphia game this evening. So let’s liveblog the hell out of it!

December 22 – Sure the picture is old, but you have to appreciate Giguere failing, Pronger not helping and an old man in front causing havoc. Just replace Smoke with (ugh) Sundin in a few weeks and you have your second half of the season! Liveblog goodness forthcoming.

December 16 – It’s only fitting that in the same week where we’ll honor a Canuck for life by sending his number to the rafters in GM Place, we are left to still debate the merits of another guy who (if you ask me) doesn’t have a right to play on the home team in the same arena. Enough is enough, time to go away Mats.
