October 26 – What’s that? You’re tired (perhaps hungover?) from a long weekend of whatever it is that you do. Maybe you subjected yourself to a long night of hockey and were doing double takes on what appeared to be the Sedins playing with Jason Krog? Then you’re like me.

October 23 – No Vancouver news today so let’s instead play a game, courtesy of the NY Post. And, nope, this time it has nothing to do with Larry Brooks being a bonehead. I swear.

October 17: The guys needed to outwork a better team in Detroit and did just that. Now they hop on over to Buffalo where they face an undefeated team that has only given up…watch me now…three goals. Three. This clearly demands a liveblog fueled by liquor and profuse cursing.

And hey remember Kyle Wellwood? No? Good, you’re one step ahead of the class…

October 13: Another Sea of Red will welcome the good guys tonight. Sadly they don’t get Jose “yanked already against the mighty Thrashers” Theodore, but they will get their back-up goalie and Fedorov on defense. I have my media pass, top hat, cane and monocle ready for an evening behind enemy lines. Gentlemen? Let’s plow the road.

October 9 – Honeycomb the fridge and ditch the kids. Hockey is back and it starts tonight with the Flames.

October 2 – With one week and counting until the puck drops for real, the Canucks have to figure out what the hell to do with Kyle Wellwood. Is he more promise or under delivery? Is he a top six guy or not? And who gets cut if he makes it? I fly into a Ben & Jerry’s induced rage after the jump.

September 29: It wouldn’t be another year of hockey if the Canucks weren’t staring point blank at the same old questions about scoring, second line support and overall relevance as a member of the hockey community. It’s the stuff that binds folks. Rampant guessing is in full effect after the jump.

September 5 – This is going to be the first of what I feel will be a long running series devoted to picking apart those pesky predictions about the 2008-09 Canucks.

September 3 – Suffering from a lack of offensive talent, the Piedmont High School football team in California came up with a wild strategy to generate offense and skirt their shortcomings. Is it possible the Canucks can learn something from a bunch of teenagers? Probably not, but it’s fun to try anyway.

August 31 – What a great week it’s been: Kyle Wellwood needs some chamomile tea, Steve Bernier needs a pat on the back and our GM doesn’t care if you heckle him roundly game after game. All of this and training camp hasn’t even started! It’s truly a gift being a Canucks fan, isn’t it?!
