August 13 – Five weeks from now training camp begins (and four weeks from now prospect camp will have already begun). And for the first time in eight years (since Mark f’ing Messier also left Vancouver for New York…puke) the team won’t have a captain.

August 6 – So after yet another week of Mats Sundin feet dragging, it’s time to appeal to the human sense of decency and beg Mike Gillis to give it up. Like Forsberg, Sundin ain’t coming. And that’s not a bad thing.
