January 5 – Another good Labarbera start ends in another shootout loss for Vancouver, now 1-5 on the year when they can’t commit to winning in a 65 minute stretch.And Schneider is on his way back to Manitoba too.

December 31: Up next in the carousel of goalies marking their own graves: Antonio Jason Labarbera, come on down! If you liked being left to hang yourself by your own skate laces down in the pits of LA, you may enjoy your trip north where your new team hasn’t quite figured out how to play in front of either goalie you’ll be looking to replace while the team captain sits with his wounded groin (and pride).

December 1 – Nothing ruins a well-earned and well-rested vacation like seeing your team lose to Calgary twice in a row. Several curse words come to mind. But is it the end of the world? Of course not. Well, not yet anyway.

November 22 – Humiliate Naslund’s Rangers? Check. Let Demitra pick apart his old team? Check. Bang heads with our former favorite pest Matt Cooke? Cooke was chucked out in 30 seconds. The bigger news is Luongo is out and it’s officially the Curtis Sanford show.

November 7 – A first place showdown with the hated Wild looms on the horizon tomorrow. Let me get the hateball rolling: Nordy, the hideously stupid Wild mascot, appears to have a broken left leg. An odd choice considering Ohlund’s fibula cracking whack on Mikko Koivu last year.

November 6 – It’s now impossible to ignore Kyle Wellwood. So I’m late to the bandwagon party? It’s cool, I come from the East bearing gifts for our new lord and master.

October 31 – The boys take the slow train to Anaheim tonight for a mini reunion of sorts. How will the Canucks respond on little rest? And will Mike Gillis man hug Dave Nonis?
